Pediatrics
Outline
The Department of Pediatrics was established in 1972 when 91猎奇 was founded. It was first led by Professor and Chair YOSHIDA Seizo. The second Professor and Chair, Dr. SHIKE Shoichiro, headed the department from 1978, followed by Prof. TAKAHASHI Hiroaki from 1992, and Prof. SAIKAWA Yutaka from 2008. In 2024, Prof. IKAWA Yasuhiro became the fifth Chair and has been leading the department since then.
Clinical sections provide specialized care across all therapeutic areas in the department: hematology and oncology, endocrinology and metabolism, neurology, cardiology, nephrology, allergy, and neonatology.
In the research section, we utilize molecular biological techniques to understand unknown pathological conditions encountered in daily clinical practice and share our findings both domestically and internationally.
